50th Wedding Anniversary Album/Cigar Box for cards

I made this 50th Wedding Anniversary Album for my friend's parents!  The cover papers are by Creative Imaginations, and the book is by Heart of Texas Studio.

This was a picture of them when they were around 13 years!!

We put baby pics in, then high school pics.

Navy pics, then some young family pics!

More family pics!

Great times at the beach!

Some more current pictures!

The back of the album.

I also made them a decorated cigar box to hold their 50th Wedding Anniversary cards that they received from friends and family!  I loved this picture of them, and decided on it in lieu of a more traditional one!

I papered the inside of the box, as well as the outside.  In the bottom, I put felt.

Together, the items were very pretty, and I was pleased with them!

They seemed to like them, too!

Thanks for looking!

If you have arrived from Rita Barakat's blog, you are at the right place!  To start at the beginning of the blog hop, head over to Faber Castell Design Memory Craft!

Here is a sneak peak of how to use Faber Castell Gelatos.

For this page from a 50th Wedding Anniversary Album I made for my best friends' parents, I used the metallic gelatos in silver and gold to help me with the shells at the bottom of this page.

Overall, in the book, I used black and white papers, with black, white, and gold embellishments.  For the shells at the bottom of this page, then, it was great to have such a creamy, easy-to-use medium to make the shells a nice gold color.   At the top of the page, I used the same gold Gelatos to edge the trim, keeping with the theme of the 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Here is a close-up of the bottom of the page so you can get a better look of how fully the Gelatos let me cover the shells.

Thank you for letting me share this sneak-peak with you!
My full project, including pictures and in-depth instruction will be on my blog

Next, you should hop right over to Jill Foster's blog to see what awesome stuff she's made!
